JOHN PASSAFIUME
John Passafiume is beyond talented. He has some of the most inspiring lettering work around. John currently works for Louise Fili Ltd., and does amazing things there. See what he’s up to at his dribbble page.
SIMON WALKER
Don’t even know where to start with Simon Walker. The guy is so insanely talented. Aside from his talent he is also incredibly nice and approachable. Absolutely a design hero of mine. His lettering is impeccable. Every designer ought to know this guy. His level of professionalism is something I strive for in my own lettering. Thanks for inspiring Super Furry.
DAN CASSARO
Been a big fan of Dan Cassaro’s work since I found out about him a while back. Not sure how I found his work, but the dude has quite the portfolio. Some of you may know him from his brainchild, the 50 and 50 State Motto Project. Basically everything he does is gold. Really smart, fun, and great work. Hey he’s on tumblr too.
JAMES T. EMONDSON
Just saw this video today from James T. Edmondson so I thought I would share since I just posted some of his work. Enjoy.
JAMES T. EDMONDSON
James T. Edmondson blows my mind. His type work is jaw-dropping-good. Some of you may know him from his Lost Type Coop work. He has three beautiful fonts available through Lost Type. Go support him. He deserves it! Check out Duke, Wisdom Script, and Lavenderia.
KEN BARBER
Insightful interview from Ken Barber of House Industries. Would love to one day take his class.
New poster up in the shop. MAKE CHANGE
“Our job is to make change. Our job is to connect to people, to interact with them in a way that leaves them better than we found them, more able to get where they’d like to go. Every time we waste that opportunity, every page or sentence that doesn’t do enough to advance the cause is waste.”
From Seth Godin’s Linchpin
Some really nice type work from Luke Lisi. Also his submission to the Lost Type Co-op, just went live today. Go support him.
Nice type found via pilllpat on flickr.
Another nice one from Brandon Rike.
Brandon Rike has a pretty deep portfolio. Lots of work in the music industry. Anyway I am posting about his incredible type work, because it’s really inspiring. Also want to say thanks to him for purchasing my typeface, Ranger.
Took that drawing I posted a few days back and made this. Really happy with how it turned out!
